Petroline Jorgine Pedersdatter Gaarden joined the church in 1883 in Norway. She was the sister of Anna Widtsoe, mother of the apostle John Widtsoe. She helped raise John and his brother Osborne with her widowed sister Anna in Logan, Utah. Petroline served
